Memory Eternal!

On the the feast of the holy glorious martyr Stephen the New (28 Nov) Milburga (Sylvia) Stubbs reposed in the Lord.  Memory Eternal!

Milburga was a great stalwart of our community, dearly loved by all.  She was received into the Orthodox Church with her husband Peter in 1998.  Only in recent years did she become too old to attend church.

She was a very remarkable lady with a great character and full of fun and amusing stories.  She was a God-fearing soul and after she became housebound received communion regularly in her home.  She started failing in the last couple of months and gradually slipped away.

She was 94 or thereabouts and quite ready for death: she was annointed and given holy communion before she died.

Her funeral is scheduled for 15 December.

Congratulations!

Congratulations to Mihail and Hristina Alashki on the birth of Alexander born on 23 November!  Many Years!

Christmas decorations for sale!

Mini Christmas trees for sale!

To raise funds for the church Costa Maoudis has made some Christmas trees.  These will be on sale at the Saint Nicholas Festival and on Sundays up to Christmas.
