On the weekend of 31 May – 1 June 2025, the Community of the 318 Holy Fathers of Nicaea and St John the Baptist in Shrewsbury had the great honour of hosting, on behalf of the Archdiocese, the official celebrations marking the 1700th anniversary of the First Ecumenical Council of Nicaea (325 AD). Cu mare bucurie vă anunțăm că pe data de 11 mai vom celebra sfințirea unei icoane a Sfântului Silvestru și a Sfântului Osie de Cordaba, cu un fragment din moaștele Sfântului Silvestru, ca parte a celebrărilor Nicaea 2025. Una dintre cele mai remarcabile fapte ale Sfântului Silvestru a fost confruntarea sa cu un balaur teribil din Roma.
