The Feast of the Universal Exaltation of the Precious and Life-Giving Cross is celebrated each year on September 14. The Feast commemorates the finding of the True Cross of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ by Saint Helen, the mother of the Emperor Constantine.
An appeal is made to the friends and faithful of the Church of 318 God-bearing Fathers to commit to regular online giving which will help the Church predict its income and plan better for the year ahead. Until recently the Church has safely relied on the collection basket and a number of fund raising events. However, we cannot rely on these for the future and we appeal to you now to give regularly via standing order or other online methods.
The election of a new Board of Trustees will take place on 17 October. The board’s responsibility is to work with the Father Stephen to further the aims of the community and carry out certain administrative tasks to ensure the good ordering of the church. It is a very important responsibility and requires commitment to the sacred task of serving our Lord and our brothers and sisters in Christ in the work of ministry. It is an office that is essential to the mission of the Church in sharing the love of God and the truth of the Gospel. You will need to willingly offer your time and abilities for the spiritual growth and well-being of our Community, for the salvation of souls, and ultimately, for the kingdom of God and His glory
Please submit your nominations to Father Stephen. Closing date for nominations is 12.30pm on Thursday 14 October 2021.
If you wish to nominate a member of the community to the Community Board, please obtain their consent before nominating them. Board members must be paid up members of the Community.
