First Divine Liturgy at St. Julian’s Church, Shrewsbury

With the blessing of His Eminence Archbishop Nikitas, and as announced last Sunday, we will be celebrating our first Divine Liturgy at St. Julian’s Church, Shrewsbury, SY1 1UH, this Sunday, 17 March.  Matins will start at 9.30am.  The Divine Liturgy will start shortly after 10.30am.

This is a momentous occasion in the life of our church and, if God’s will, may be the beginning of a new era for the Orthodox Church in Shropshire. Please make every effort to attend church and help spread the word to those who may not be aware.

We will return to the mother church, Church of the 318 Holy Fathers, for the two following Sundays (24 March and 31 March).  Then, God-willing, from 7 April, we will be at St Julian’s Church every Sunday until at least the beginning of the Nativity Fast in November.

All weekday services will continue to be at the Church of the 318 Holy Fathers. Our web calendar will clearly indicate whether the services are at St Julian’s Church or the Church of the 318 Holy Fathers.
